By visiting lumaskinnyc.com, booking an appointment, purchasing a service or product, or receiving treatment at our studio at 304 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10001, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Our services are available to clients who are 18 years of age or older. Minors (16–17) may be treated only with the written consent and in-person presence of a parent or legal guardian. We reserve the right to refuse service.
Prices are listed on our website and in Vagaro and may change without notice. All payments are processed at the time of booking or service. Prepaid packages must be used within 12 months of purchase. Gift cards are non-refundable and non-transferable for cash.
Laser hair removal and aesthetic treatments are elective cosmetic procedures. Before your first session you will complete a consultation and sign an informed consent form disclosing your medical history, medications, and skin/hair characteristics. Treatment is performed at our discretion and may be declined when contraindications are present.
Common contraindications include: pregnancy or breastfeeding, recent sun exposure or tanning (within 2 weeks), use of photosensitizing medications (e.g., isotretinoin within 6 months, certain antibiotics), active skin infections, certain skin conditions, recent chemical peels or laser treatments, history of keloid scarring, and others identified during consultation.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recognizes laser hair removal as permanent hair reduction — a long-term, stable decrease in the number of hairs regrowing after a treatment regimen. It is not the same as permanent hair removal. Most clients achieve 70–95% reduction after 6–10 sessions, but individual results vary based on skin type, hair color, hormones, medications, and adherence to the treatment schedule. We do not guarantee specific results.
You agree to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your specialist (sun avoidance, no hot showers/saunas for 24–48 hours, gentle skincare, daily SPF 30+). Failure to follow aftercare may lead to side effects and reduce treatment effectiveness. Luma Skin is not responsible for outcomes resulting from non-adherence.
We may take before/after photos for clinical records. These are confidential and used only for your file unless you provide separate written consent for promotional use.
Promotional pricing (e.g., "First treatment 55% off") is limited to new clients, applies to one (1) treatment area, cannot be combined with other offers, and is subject to change or withdrawal at our discretion. Offers are non-transferable and have no cash value.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luma Skin NYC and its owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim.
All content on lumaskinnyc.com — text, images, logos, design — is owned by Luma Skin NYC or its licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use it for commercial purposes without our written consent.
Our site uses Vagaro for booking and payments, Google Analytics for site analytics, and Netlify for hosting. Use of those services is also subject to their own terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York. You agree to attempt to resolve any dispute by contacting us first at lumaskinllc@gmail.com before pursuing formal legal action.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
