Daria is the founder of Luma Skin and a New York State licensed cosmetologist with years of hands-on experience in laser hair removal and skincare. She built Luma Skin as a boutique alternative to the assembly-line chain clinics that dominate Manhattan — a studio where every treatment is performed personally, every skin type is understood, and every client leaves knowing exactly what to expect next.
The studio takes one client at a time. No overlapping rooms, no rushed sessions, no upsells. Just careful, evidence-based skincare on medical-grade equipment, delivered by the person who owns the space.
The Candela GentleMax Pro Plus is one of the most-studied hair-removal lasers in the world. It is the platform recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for "permanent hair reduction" and the same device used across leading dermatology practices. We chose it because it is the safest and most versatile option for our clients — not the cheapest for us.
Two lasers in one device — the 755 nm alexandrite for lighter skin and finer hair, and the 1064 nm Nd:YAG for deeper melanin. That combination makes the Candela safe and effective across Fitzpatrick I–VI, including skin tones that many older systems can't treat.

Daria holds a current New York State Cosmetology license. The physical license, together with additional laser-safety and skincare certificates, is displayed inside the studio and available on request during your consultation.
