Laser hair removal doesn't have to feel complicated. Here are the most common questions we hear at Luma Skin NYC.
The FDA requires us to use the term "permanent hair reduction." After a full series of 6–8 sessions, most clients see 80–90% permanent reduction — remaining hair grows back finer, lighter, and slower. Hormonal changes can reactivate some follicles years later, so 100% lifelong removal cannot be guaranteed by any laser, anywhere. For most clients the result feels permanent — but legally, we call it "reduction."
Most clients see significant results after the first session. Permanent reduction of 80–90% typically comes in 6–8 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
